so i was reading the papers and i found a new reason to leave this country!! the influenza virus is more likely to spread in temperate countries so like, about 600 ppl die yearly because of that. 600!! singapore! 600 is a lot! can you imagine if more epidemics of flu happen in a year? the numbers will go up! and as much as only a specific grp of ppl are more prone to the virus, STILL! vaccinations are available for pregnant women or something along those lines. i remember seeing something about allergy to eggs too. hurhur. BUT YAAAAAAAA. i mean it's so scary right! time to head to perth... HAHA shut up sa.
oh oh! and i think that the church is kinda like overreacting about the whole da vinci code movie. i mean SERIOUSLY. why get all worked up? IT'S ONLY FICTION. dan brown stated it at the start of his book! yes i know i'm catholic too, i go to church, i fast on the necessary days, i don't eat meat on fridays, i pray too! and look at me, i read the book and i am STILL going to church. i think it's all about the person. you've got to approach it with an open mind and not let it affect your faith. my parents thought the book was bad for me but i didn't care and look at me now. still as holy! pfft. HOWEVER i am disappointed in the fact that there's one part in the movie where extra dialogue was added and it degrades christianity or something like that (life! section, 10/5/06). anyway yes, the article included stuff about the church in singapore getting upset about MDA going ahead to show the movie. think about it, at least they're rating it NC-16! why? because they feel that only those who are able to discern between fact and fiction shld watch the show and I TOTALLY AGREE (of course we know the story is NOT TRUE).
so ya now i'm hoping i don't go to jail for saying stuff like this. or worse, going to hell.
